New Collaborations
In late 2008, Kathryn joined two new ensembles specializing in improvisation and New Music: Digital Prowess and In Orbit.
Digital Prowessis a quintet which also features Jason White on piano, Richard Burrows on percussion, Tomas Bouda on double bass, and Joe Ryan on drums. In Orbit is a trio which also features Tim Turvey on drums, and Nick Bastian on guitar. Concert listings for both ensembles will be posted on this site as well as through the following link to Kathryn's myspace page: Kathryn's myspace page

At the beginning of 2005, Kathryn formed Canada's first bass clarinet duo, Bass Impact, with Canadian clarinettist, Tilly Kooyman. Bass Impact is currently working with various composers on commissioned works for the duo. These composers include Carol Ann Weaver, David Eagle, Boyd McDonald, Arsenio Giron, Veronica Tapia, and world renowned Australian composer Gerard Brophy. Sound samples of Bass Impact can be found in the performance section of this site. More to come!.
